Los Angeles ORT College, a non-profit organization, is part of the global network of more than 800 ORT schools in 64 countries around the world. With more than 130 years of history worldwide, the first ORT school was established in 1880 in Russia and since then World ORT has dedicated itself to promotion of education and employment training in communities that it serves.

As a non-profit organization, ORT’s primary focus is to empower individuals with the education and training they need at an affordable cost. Over the years and decades ORT has maintained its leadership and reputation for quality education and dedication to the success of the students it serves. With an enrollment of close to 300,000 students worldwide, ORT is one of the largest non-governmental educational system in the world.

The Los Angeles ORT College is approved by the U.S. Department of Education to award Federal Financial Aid to qualified students. The college is also approved by the State of California’s Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) to offer diploma and associate degree programs.
Los Angeles ORT College is approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to enroll non?immigrant international students under F-1 and M-1 visas.
Los Angeles ORT College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).
Additionally, Los Angeles ORT College is approved by California’s Workforce Investment Board and the Department of Veteran Affairs to enroll students under WIA and GI bill.

The faculty at Los Angeles ORT College (LA ORT) are carefully selected from many qualified candidates for teaching positions at the College. The instructors must have the right balance between teaching experience, knowledge of the field and the professional experience in the industry. In addition, the LA ORT’s instructors possess the passion and dedication needed for teaching in order to maximize students’ success in the program.

Los Angeles ORT College campuses include computer laboratories, classrooms, learning resource center, student lounge and other amenities that are furnished with modern equipment and facilities that make the earning environment productive and pleasant. The facilities and equipment comply or exceed the federal, state and local ordinances pertaining handicapped access, fire and building safety.

Los Angeles ORT College reimburses students for the standard amount the student needs to pay to purchase of student’s monthly bus pass to commute to the College. In addition, the college provides free shuttle service for students who live in certain designated areas.

With more than 25 years of local presence and more than 130 year of name recognition, employers recognize the quality of ORT graduates. Throughout the years LA ORT has developed network of employers that contact the college for their hiring needs. At LA ORT the graduates work on a one-to-one basis with the College’s Job Placement Officer to develop an individualized strategy to maximize student’s employment opportunities using their previously acquired skills, abilities, talents and any unique life experiences.
