You might think that you’ll need to talk to a lot of people every day at your future job. If you are the shy type, this worries you. Here are some good news: there’s a ton of jobs where you don’t have to spend too much time with other people.

Of course, if you are a social person, there are also lots of jobs that are all about interaction – you know, talking to others, listening to what they have to say or trying to help them.

Today we’re going to talk about the best jobs for both groups, those who are shy and those who love to socialize.

Are you good at math? Like being alone more than with others? If your answers are yes, accounting may just be the perfect job for you! At LA ORT, our accounting program can teach you all sorts of business skills that you can use to work as an accountant or bookkeeper.

2. Digital Media

If you have an artistic side and love spending time on your computer, we have two words for you: digital media. After finishing our digital media program, you can find a job as a graphic designer or work in the media business – these jobs are not just fun, you get to work alone!

3. CADD

CADD or Computer Aided Drafting and Design is also an exciting program for talented people who aren’t too crazy about interacting with others. If your dream of working for an architectural or maybe interior design firm, this program is definitely made for you!

4. Administrative Assistant

Ideal for students whose mother tongue is not English, this program at LA ORT can help you improve your English and computer skills. With this program, you can work in an office – and the sky’s your limit. You can work for a lawyer, doctor or even the government!

1. Medical & Clinical Assistant

If you have a passion for helping people, there’s no better way to do it than by working in a hospital or medical center. As a medical and clinical assistant, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to talk with your co-workers and patients too!

2. Phlebotomy

Never heard of phlebotomy? Don’t worry, it’s just a technical word for drawing blood! So, if you’re a people person and are not afraid of blood (yikes!), you should think about working as a phlebotomist. Remember that lab workers can help save many, many lives!

3. Pharmacy Technician

Working in the pharmacy industry is an ideal job for a lot of young people – and for a good reason. It’s a rewarding job with lots of benefits and you get to meet new people each and every day! You can work in a hospital, pharmacy or even drug store – wherever you like it the most!

4. Business Management

Want to be a businessman or businesswoman? To manage your own company or work for a successful corporation? This is what you can do with LA ORT’s Business Management program. But it’s not all! You can also work in a bank, for an insurance company or in manufacturing. The options are endless and they all include closely working with others!
